Toys and Anime Characters

I didn't start out trying to shoot toys, but given my health and condition on the days I can't get out of bed or the house I started to shoot toys so I would have something interesting to shoot for the Daily or 365Project. My collection is of various Japanese anime, manga toys and other collections. Eventually I will probably break this down into separate groups.

June 28, 2011-Seeing double? As I was getting some coffee, I heard Cheburashka yelling, "Gena come quick it's us, it's us, Gena!" Gena got to the computer first and thought he was seeing double, then he read the caption and told Cheburashka it was their cousins in Russia. Susan and Rustem had photographed them and posted their picture for us to see. Needless to say all of the gang gathered at that point and then I was booted off the computer until they all had their turn playing. Oy vey what a day! (Day 179:365 @sharkbayte)

  • July 8, 2011-Remember Professor Layton? Well, he wanted me to let him have a little time to teach the gang different things. I guess like home schooling. Today's theme with visual aids is: Four things you can't take back and this one is: The stone after its been thrown. (Day 189:365)
  • July 6, 2011-I have a friend named George who lives deep in the woods, whenever George comes around we always have a campfire going, toasting marshmallows, drinking coffee or hot coco and swap stories ranging from ghosts, aliens and Bigfoot or rather Sasquatch. We always have a great time and often find we can't sleep for a few nights. Now you are probably thinking that Sasquatch don't exist, well a lot of folks believe that. I am telling you that is not so, and I have proof!This is Salvatore the Sasquatch; a friendly creature, doesn't smell as bad as folks have said. As you can see no one else is around, (they are hiding under my bed). I was lucky this came out with out being blurred from camera or rather whole body shake. (187:365)
  • July 4, 2011-As we were preparing for the 4th, the guys wanted me to take a group shot. While some of the gang was missing I decided to take the shot anyway, as they were hard to contain and control. Who wanted to stand next to who, who was touching who, our colors clash. It was just easier this way. Maybe next time the entire group will show up and behave. Hope everyone has a Happy and Safe fourth of July! (185:365)
  • July 01, 2011 (182/365) Meet Professor Hershel Layton-(レイトン教授 Reiton-kyōju). He is a professor of Archaeology at Gressenheller University in London. A rather dashing gentleman, with a brilliant mind for solving puzzles and mysteries. He drinks as much tea as I do coffee. And he always wears his top hat (I think to bed too!). Today when we chatted he wanted to run an idea past me and get my thoughts on it. I just need to get back to him with an answer before next week. (I can't believe he gave me a deadline!?!)

  • June 24, 2011-Topo is a warm, friendly kinda mole. And Baby Milo is a mischievous chimp, full of life and funny. So when Baby Milo arrived early this morning, Topo was one of the first to greet him and Topo's first words to him was "Hug my Neck" (something I only heard said in the South). Baby Milo turned to the gang and said, "What neck?" That started the day off for us. I wanted a group shoot, but things got kinda out of control. Maybe I'll get them to calm down and get that group shot for tomorrow. No guarantees with this group though. I think we are in for a weird and wacky weekend! Hope everyone's is fantastic!   • June 16, 2011-What an awesome surprise we had today. Cheburashka's cousin "The 2004 Russian Winter Olympic team mascot Cheburashka" (yes same name, his parents named him first) arrived today via my awesome friends, Susan and Rustem a.k.a. RuSu (thank you!) What a fun day and night! Our newest member sang and danced with us for hours. I left everyone partying and wanted to post this before heading to bed! Thank you all for your kind comments on my catnap photo yesterday! You all rock! (Day 167:365 @sharkbayte)
  • June 11, 2011- As the day progressed we had a lot of thunder and lighting. We started to head for the house, the thunder was getting louder and the sky was turning black and this is the sight we saw come out of the forest. Friends let me introduce you to the 3 founding members of the Insurgents Wilderness Gruppo/I.W.G: Hannibal The Mountain Guerrilla , Alfonso the White Rhino, and Titus the Grizzly Bear. I have heard of these guys but only in whispers at night around the camp fires. They are visionaries and the first of their kind. With steadfast fortitude and dedication, they are leading animal-kind to a new era...Bad humans beware, you can run but you can't hide, the I.W.G. will be there...*(Day 162:365 @sharkbayte).<br /> *Part me and part from their box top.
  • June 10, 2011-A little birdie came to me in my dreams and told me to go to the rock. Well bless my soul, I found a mole! This is Topo, he followed me home. Not sure if having a mole in the gang is a good thing or not. But we'll keep him entertained for sure. (Day 161:365 @sharkbayte)
