• May 15, 2011-This was my other cloud shot for today.
• April 8, 2011-Waxing Crescent Moon, last night’s moon was only four days old. I try to capture the moon as early as I can. I was trying for a two and three day old moon, but I wasn't able to with the weather conditions. So this is the earliest I can get for this cycle. (Day 98:365 @sharkbayte for daily Post)
• March 23, 2011-Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Papilio glaucus. My first butterfly of the season! Spotted him while shooting the crab apple flowers, I didn't see him at first but managed two shots before he flew off. 82:365 @sharkbayte
• March 22, 2011-Got these Fire Star Dianthus for the yard yesterday. Can't wait to plant them and get the garden started. 81:365 @sharkbayte
• March 21, 2011-Spring is finally here! This is from a sargent crab apple malus "sargentii". 80:365 @sharkbayte
• March 20, 2011-Last night's moon was coined a super moon because of how it would appear much larger to us. It is also called the worm moon. Daily Post 79:365 @sharkbayte
• March 19, 2011-Tiny flowers growing on a bush, at my neighbor’s house. I don't know what they are called, just thought they looked really neat. 78:365@sharkbayte
• March 18, 2011-A Waxing Gibbous Moon. Taken last night. Thirteen days old and 95% full. 77:365 @sharkbayte
• March 17, 2011-On the lookout for the cats. The cats seemed to be everywhere today. This little guy ran on top of this rock to get a better view of where the cats were. He didn't stay too long. If you view it at larger sizes you can see how sharp his nails are. 76:365 @sharkbayte
• March 16, 2011 (Nippon no tame ni inoru 日本のために祈る) Prayers for Japan and all the people touched by this tragedy. A lot of my figures are Japanese figures and I wanted to do a shot with all of them, but nothing was appealing to me except this one. 75:365 @sharkbayte
• March 15, 2011-Reaching up. I saw these tiny buds on a tree along the road and thought I would grab a quick shot. I don't know what type tree this is but the buds are pretty and I liked the colors. 74:365
• March 14, 2011- Red showed up today with the star pack, they are some of the friends, Treeson and Ren have befriended. 73:365
• March 13, 2011-Last night's moon was called the first quarter moon. It was eight days old and already fifty percent full. (Day 72 #365Project @sharkbayte)
• March 12, 2011- Treeson is a kind creature raised by the trees in the forest. He was stabbed in the chest with a tree branch by the logger who was trying to cut down the tree that raised him. After being wounded, he met Ren, his only human friend. Neither Treeson nor Ren are very popular with the local kids, but they keep each other company and try to save the trees in the city from being cut down by humans that want to put up more buildings. – Artist Bubi Au Yeung at Crazylabel.
This is my new collection and hopefully new adventures with the other characters I have. (Day 71 #365Project @sharkbayte)

• March 10, 2011-Nova's eyes are so beautiful. She was napping outside waiting for her owner to come back from the store. She woke up when I got a bit closer to her and I didn't want her to take off so I stayed put and tried to get a decent head shot. I cropped and tweaked the contrast a bit. Other than that this is all her colors. (Day 69 #365Project @sharkbayte)
• March 9, 2011- I wanted to try something different with my moon shots. I was playing around with settings and to write up something for all that asked how I do this. This is very simple. I handhold but I bet if you use a tripod it would be better. I don’t have any special trick, I only played with the camera to get my shots, in the beginning last year I took a few hundred shots every time I tried this, until I got it right and found the settings I use now. I sometimes still play with the settings at different phases of the moon. I still don’t have it down to a science yet, but at least I am not taking several hundred shots each time. I take up to a dozen (big difference) and that is because I don’t trust what I see on my LCD screen, and I start to play around. I basically follow these settings:

full moon: ISO: 400 1/500 sec @f/16
half moon: ISO: 400 1/500 sec @f/11
Crescent moon: ISO: 400 1/125 sec @f/8

These are just guide lines I use. I do stray away from these from time to time. Such as today’s picture. I wrote the settings on the picture. I would have thought that the bottom moon would have shown more details in the craters but it looks like the top moon picture seems to have a tad more details. So after I get the settings right on the camera I aim and shoot. That’s it! Then I crop the photos to the size I want, very little tweaking if any. Hope this helped some.
• March 8, 2011- Just a quick shot of some new flowers my neighbor planted. (Day 67 #365project @sharkbayte)
• March 7, 2011- He's an angel...when he is sleeping. I cropped close to his paw because he fell asleep in between a box of tissues and some other articles on the other side of him. If I moved or tried to move the items out of the way he would have woken and lost the shot. I have no clue how he can tell when I am taking his picture while he is sleeping. He just wakes up, so this was a treat for me to capture him sleeping and with a semi decent clear shot. (Day 66 #365Project @sharkbayte)
• March 6, 2011-Chipping Sparrow, a few different bird species started to show up this week. This is one of them I haven't seen before. (Day 65 #365Project @sharkbayte)

The colors in the sky provide a beautiful backdrop for the stark, black of the trees...
