February 24, 2011-This is a Brown-shaded Gray Moth - Hodges #6586. He was on the rail to my ramp. He was in an awkward spot for me to shoot him. With the macro lens I was up very close but given I was on the ramp, there wasn't room to move comfortably to get a better shot. (Day 55 #365project @sharkbayte)

  • March 1, 2011-Spring has sprung! The past two days it has been very warm and I have noticed that the Forsythia Bush is starting to bloom. I tried some macro shots, but with the gusting winds it wasn't that successful of a day. (Day 60 #365Project @sharkbayte)
  • February 28, 2011-Waiting for a spot at the feeder. The birds were everywhere today. Singing, eating flying and fleeing from the cats. I was able to get really close to the tree with the feeders on it and watched this Downy Woodpecker for the longest time. I took way too many pictures of her, and had a hard time choosing which one to use. I liked this one because of the light and there weren't any branches in the way. (Day 59 #365Project @sharkbayte)

  • February 26, 2011- A windy day. Yesterday the winds were wicked. Very blustery day, which let the clouds put on a show. I was supposed to be shooting something for my class and found myself distracted by the clouds. Oh well, today I'll try to stick to what I am supposed to shoot. (Day 57 #365Project @sharkbayte)
  • February 25, 2011-The glare. I was calling Willie so I could get a look at his face, as he turned around this is the look/glare I got. I love his markings it's as if he has a mask or makeup on. (Day 56 #365Project @sharkbayte)

  • February 22. 2011- The Sunset last night was gorgeous. What I miss about my old place was open sky. This is the widest view of the sky I can find in my area (within one to two miles) that I can safely traverse at night. I left the street lights in to show the height of the trees. Trees everywhere, tops of trees are my horizon these days, but the wildlife more than makes up for it. Day 53 @sharkbayte
  • February 21, 2011- Pancho at the ready. One of my neighbors down the road owns Pancho. Pancho whines when he sees me and drags his owner to come greet me. Very strong and powerful pup but he's really a teddy bear in disguise! Day 52 @sharkbayte
  • February 20, 2011-Eyes on the prize. Nova, my neighbors cat watching the birds above on the feeder. Moments after this shot Nova sped up and tries for a bird, but she was too slow. Score one for the birds! Day 51 #365Project @sharkbayte
