  • May 24, 2011-This bush is outside my neighbor's front door. It just started to bloom this past week. Of course I have no clue what it is. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions on my Humming bird shot, I appreciate it very much. (Day 144:365 @sharkbayte)

  • May 22, 2011-Moms to be. The does are looking great, I am hoping the babies will be coming soon. I really liked how the light came through the trees on this one. I have a hard time getting the correct exposure when they are under the trees.<br /> <br /> Wow, thank you so much for all the comments on my goofy shot yesterday, I am overwhelmed by the response and it really inspires me to learn more!   • May 21, 2011-"By the light, of the silvery moon"...another night time shot, this time of a cricket. Okay and that is not the moon but a light reflected of a car tail light from my flash. Just a goofy shot for today. Thanks for all the comments on my toad shot yesterday. I was lucky I was off the ants nest in time as I saw how big it was today in the daylight. (still scratching...)   • May 20, 2011-A toad's night out. Actually there were three of them close to the base of this tree. I could just about make out where they were, I had the street light and then added my flash. Took a few shots and then when I shined a flash light on to the area I realized my chair was on top of hundreds of ants coming out of all these tiny holes in the ground. Before my chair and I became ant chow, I was in reverse and scrambling to get onto the street. Not sure why I figured that would help but at least I wasn't on top of the dirt.   • May 19, 2011-Blooming early or late depending how you look at it. My Christmas cactus bloomed around Thanksgiving and now it's blooming again. I haven't had that happen before, but that's okay, I think it's pretty neat. thank you for all the comments on my daily yesterday, you all rock! (Day 139:365 @sharkbayte)

  • May 16, 2011-Ready to leave. As I was rolling through the neighborhood I spotted this humming bird drinking from this feeder. It's the first time I shot a humming bird. Boy are they quick. He was gone as soon as I shot this. I am hoping to return to this feeder and watch for more hummers.   • May 13, 2011-A nut tree? I have no idea what type of tree this is. There are a few of these in my backyard if any ones what they are please let me know.   • May 8, 2011-You're never too old for your Mom's love. Here is the Mom kissing (okay cleaning) her sons face and eventually his ears. The sister sits watching. These three sleep in the yard at night. I have been watching them since I moved here last year. Surprisingly the son hasn't left and both the mom and the sister are pregnant. Happy Mother's Day!!   • May 7, 2011-Close enough. I was telling the gang today is the 137th Kentucky Derby Race, aka 'Run for the Roses'. About an hour later, Chebruashka comes inside with this and says, "Here, I ran for the roses." I cracked up and told him it was close enough. It's so much faster than my moody pc. I have to get used to using a mac again. oh why did I ever stray? I am hoping the colors are okay as i need to find my screen calibrator and start using that again.
  • May 6, 2011-Sassy Cat. I went outside for a break from working on my computer. Saw this neat looking cat. If you look at it larger you can see she was sassing me. Okay not that we can tell that but she appears to be sticking her tongue out at me...hmm. I had to have someone upload my photo yesterday and again today for me. I am hoping my computer problems will be resolved today or at the latest Sat. Thanks for the comments on my photos, As soon as I can I will be back to commenting. (Day 126:365 @sharkbayte)
