July 5, 2011-Family love. I watched the mother deer and her daughter eating for about 10 minutes. The son was off across the street eating, as soon as he came into the yard, I got to watch the most beautiful thing. The mother deer started licking (grooming) both siblings and vice versa, this went on for several minutes. After each had a turn and were satisfied they met up with the two other deer that stand watch and proceeded deeper into the woods. (186/365)
Thank you for all the comments on shot of the gang, they were all so excited to read them!

• July 23, 2011-Come, pull up chair and sit a spell - as I have a story to tell…(to be continued another day) (204:365) Thank you all so very much for all the wonderful comments on my cloud shot yesterday.
• July 22, 2011-Storms a brewing. What started off so dramatic, winds picking up, debris flying around, branches coming down, thunder and then a few sprinkles; the ones were you can dodge them. Well that was it, what a dud!(203:365)

Thank you all for all the wonderful comments on my fawn shot, you made my day, thank you!
• July 21, 2011-I finally caught the fawns playing in the yard. I have known and seen them for a few weeks, but they were shy and stayed in the woods. Tonight as I approached slowly, they came from behind their mother and came pretty close to me. However it was so humid my camera lens fogged. So those shots were not doable. Here they spotted one of the cats (out of frame) and they started to chase him. I was surprised they weren't scared of me and their mother just looked up when I got close and went back to eating. I guess she trusted me. (202:365)
Thank you for all the comments on my dragonfly capture yesterday!
• July 20, 2011-I believe I have the id correct Blue Dasher. I also captured a huge blue skimmer, wasn't thrilled with that one as he never turned around. I'll see if I can find him/her again later on today. Thank you for all the comments on my spider shot yesterday. You folks are the best and really made my day. As I was outside shooting this guy, I found the spider from yesterday, this time he moved onto my neighbors screen door. Suddenly she doesn't want to use that door hmm....(201:365)
• July 19, 2011-This is the ventral view of a Black and Yellow Argiope - argiope aurantia. They are also called Golden Orb weavers, Writing Spiders or Garden Spiders. My neighbor called me to come grab a shot of it. She wanted me to see the top of it or rather it's dorsal side. So, she moved the web, the spider ran/jumped down and I was out of there. Nothing really phases me or scares me but put a spider in my personal space and my heart stops, my throat seems to clamp shut and when I get my voice back, my voice goes ultra soprano, my wheelchair can't move fast enough and I need to change my shorts. That was the end of my day outdoors, thank you very much. What did my neighbor do? She laughed the entire time!! On the ground, rolling around laughing! That's okay, wait until she sees a snake in the yard... (200:365)
Thank you for all the comments on my buck shot yesterday!
• July 18, 2011-He's becoming a big boy now. Showing off his antlers and taking charge of things. His Mom and sister where to the left of the frame. (199:365) Thanks for commenting on my photos.
• July 17, 2011-Finally caught a dragonfly. My wheelchair makes enough noise to scare off most insects whenever I try to get close to them. Today this one first flew off but I stayed where I was and watched him circle back and he posed for me. (Hey I'm telling the story here, so we'll stick to he posed for me, rather than say it's normal behavior). 198:365
Thank you for all the wonderful comments on my cat shot yesterday, very much appreciate all of them and the inspiration I get from everyone. I'm sorry I didn't get to comment as much yesterday, hope to get caught up today if the day goes better for me.
• July 16, 2011-Taking a break from the kittens. It was late in the day when I took this. The big lens was great for getting close. However the photos were darker than what I liked so I tried to clean this up as best as possible. (197:365) Thanks for the comments on Jasper yesterday!
• July 15, 2011-Oh he's not spoiled much. Jasper was asleep under the blankets. Not sure what he hears when I reach for my camera but it never fails he wakes up. I gave up trying to capture him sleeping. So here he is half asleep trying to figure out what woke him. (196:365) Thanks for all the comments on my flower shot yesterday!
• July 14, 2011-The deer have been snacking on my neighbor's plants. but I found that they left these alone for now. (195:365) Thank you for all the wonderful and much appreciated comments on my kitten shot yesterday! You folks are the best and keep me striving to learn more.
• July 13, 2011-These are two of the kittens from a few days ago. Their mother moved all of them to the neighbor's house. Well that night we had a lot of rain, the next morning I found all four of the kittens back in my yard, inside a huge planter that was on it's side and off the ground, they are protected from the rain and the sun. The mother cat just amazes me. Jasper my pup is not happy with the situation. (194:365)

Thank you all so much for all the wonderful comments and response to my picture yesterday, it was overwhelming!
• JULY 12, 2011-Found this Robber Fly with his dinner on the lattice work. For the first time I tried tone mapping, so I am not sure if I over processed it or not, just thought it looked kinda cool. (193:365)
• July 11, 2011-One of the tomatoes in my garden. I thought the color was neat. (192:365)
• July 10, 2011-The storms have cleared out and the sky was beautiful today. Tomorrow it's supposed to be less humid, which would be nice and I can probably get outside and enjoy the weather. (191:365)
• July 9, 2011- Storm Clouds. I only took four shots today. Which is unusual for me. But after going outside my lens fogged up from the humidity, finally got that cleared up took a few shots of the sky and then the lightening and rain forced me back inside. (190:365)
• July 8, 2011-Remember Professor Layton? Well, he wanted me to let him have a little time to teach the gang different things. I guess like home schooling. Today's theme with visual aids is: Four things you can't take back and this one is: The stone after its been thrown. (Day 189:365)

Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments on my Kittens shot yesterday, I am very appreciative.
• July 7, 2011-Cuddling with Mom. These four kittens were born under my ramp. I couldn't see them as the mother hid them well from Jasper and me. But when I was outside I would hear their meows. My neighbor who's cat this is came over and was going to move them to her house, but she couldn't get to them. A few days later she found the kittens on her front door steps. Animals just amaze me. (188:365)
thanks for welcoming Salvatore and George to the group and for all the comments.
• July 6, 2011-I have a friend named George who lives deep in the woods, whenever George comes around we always have a campfire going, toasting marshmallows, drinking coffee or hot coco and swap stories ranging from ghosts, aliens and Bigfoot or rather Sasquatch. We always have a great time and often find we can't sleep for a few nights. Now you are probably thinking that Sasquatch don't exist, well a lot of folks believe that. I am telling you that is not so, and I have proof! This is Salvatore the Sasquatch; a friendly creature, doesn't smell as bad as folks have said. As you can see no one else is around, (they are hiding under my bed). I was lucky this came out with out being blurred from camera or rather whole body shake. (187:365)
• July 4, 2011-As we were preparing for the 4th, the guys wanted me to take a group shot. While some of the gang was missing I decided to take the shot anyway, as they were hard to contain and control. Who wanted to stand next to who, who was touching who, our colors clash. It was just easier this way. Maybe next time the entire group will show up and behave. Hope everyone has a Happy and Safe fourth of July! (185:365)
Remarkable capture. The expression of the male in x3 view is amazing - his eyes seem to communicate awareness of you plus connection with his family.
