• Hanging on.
August 5, 2012- I only saw him after I was watching the cardinals that were up in the tree. They were too far for me to shoot so got this guy instead. (Day 36/365)
• Last to leave.
July 10, 2012-This was the last fawn to leave the area. Today there were over 20 deer in the yard, bucks, does and 5 or 6 fawns. When I opened the door to let Fräulein out they were all in my yard. So I went back inside to grab my camera and this was the last one to leave. Day 10/365
• Dancing Queens
July 8, 2012-The girls were dancing for me. Okay not really they came very close tonight, just checking things out. Day 8/365
• New kid on the block
July 2, 2012- This little one was about 3 days old in this picture. She was walking with her "Mom and Dad". She wasn't scared of my wheelchair either. The cats that she is looking at off camera spooked her. Once the cats moved she ran like the wind.
• August 14, 2011 - A touching moment between the mom and her fawn. She was grooming them and then this one decided to give her some thanks back, okay a lick back, well that is how I interrupted it. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday! (226:365)
• August 5, 2011-The early evening light in the woods always catches my attention. While I was outside with Jasper the deer were here and I loved how the light was coming through the trees. (217:365)

• July 21, 2011-I finally caught the fawns playing in the yard. I have known and seen them for a few weeks, but they were shy and stayed in the woods. Tonight as I approached slowly, they came from behind their mother and came pretty close to me. However it was so humid my camera lens fogged. So those shots were not doable. Here they spotted one of the cats (out of frame) and they started to chase him. I was surprised they weren't scared of me and their mother just looked up when I got close and went back to eating. I guess she trusted me. (202:365)
• July 18, 2011-He's becoming a big boy now. Showing off his antlers and taking charge of things. His Mom and sister where to the left of the frame. (199:365)
• July 5, 2011-Family love. I watched the mother deer and her daughter eating for about 10 minutes. The son was off across the street eating, as soon as he came into the yard, I got to watch the most beautiful thing. The mother deer started licking (grooming) both siblings and vice versa, this went on for several minutes. After each had a turn and were satisfied they met up with the two other deer that stand watch and proceeded deeper into the woods. (186/365)
• July 2, 2011, (183:365) I love living in the woods, and amongst the wildlife, as there is always something to see. This beautifully colored, docile snake was three feet from my front door and eye level with me. This is a Rough Green Snake. She was about 4 feet long, very slender and more afraid of me and the neighbors that came over to see her. She was wrapped in-between the lattice work. Also there was a baby praying mantis but when she turned around , he disappeared. (I am thinking lunch), but he could have flown off, I couldn't see what happened because of the angle. Anyway this type snake can be handled and they very rarely if ever bite. They eat insects.
• June 30, 2011-She is getting more trusting with me. She actually came up to me tonight as I was trying to check on my garden. Usually she'll stay laying in the yard or by the tree. Not tonight. In a few frames she was so close I couldn't get a full shot without backing up. I thought perhaps she had a baby near by but you can see she hasn't delivered yet. In the distance is her son from last year. (Day 181:365 @sharkbayte)
• June 12, 2011-Still waiting, no babies yet. But I did have a chat with them regarding this. Shortly after taking this we had a big t-storm and down pours. I am hoping she didn't deliver during the storm. (Day 163:365 @sharkbayte).
• June 4, 2011-Siesta time, once the deer have eaten this is how they usually chill out in my yard. Tonight there was the usual five scatter about like this. (Day 155:365 @sharkbayte)
• June 1, 2011-Just checking in. Grabbed a quick shot of these three eating. The rest were on the sides out of frame. I am hoping they have their babies soon, the does look like they are going to pop. (Day 152:365 @sharkbayte)
• May 22, 2011-Moms to be. The does are looking great, I am hoping the babies will be coming soon. I really liked how the light came through the trees on this one. I have a hard time getting the correct exposure when they are under the trees. (Day 142:365 @sharkbayte)
• May 20, 2011-A toad's night out. Actually there were three of them close to the base of this tree. I could just about make out where they were, I had the street light and then added my flash. Took a few shots and then when I shined a flash light on to the area I realized my chair was on top of hundreds of ants coming out of all these tiny holes in the ground. Before my chair and I became ant chow, I was in reverse and scrambling to get onto the street. Not sure why I figured that would help but at least I wasn't on top of the dirt. (Day 140:365 @sharkbayte)
• May 8, 2011-You're never too old for your Mom's love. Here is the Mom kissing (okay cleaning) her sons face and eventually his ears. The sister sits watching. These three sleep in the yard at night. I have been watching them since I moved here last year. Surprisingly the son hasn't left and both the mom and the sister are pregnant. Happy Mother's Day!! (Day 128:365 @sharkbayte)
• May 01, 2011-Peek-A-Boo. I can't be sure if she was playing or pretending to be camera shy. Either way I caught her. (Day 121:365 @sharkbayte)
• April 29, 2011-Stopping by for a quick grazing. I haven't seen the deer in weeks. I was a bit worried but they are back and the little button buck is growing fast, his antlers are sprouting more and he is thin but overall looking good, which made me happy. (Day 119:365 @sharkbayte) Thank you for all the wonderful comments on my shot yesterday!
