  • June 29, 2011-Finally I caught up with the Blue Jay's (Cyanocitta cristata). I had seen a few flying around at the feeders and other yards, but every time I put the camera to my face or turned to grab a shot they took off. I got a few shots, one I really liked but you couldn't tell it was a Blue Jay by the way she held her head. I had counted five so far, there probably are a few more. (Day 180:365 @sharkbayte).
  • June 6, 2011-A hummer sitting still for a what seems like a nanosecond. (Day 157:365 @sharkbayte)

  • May 16, 2011-Ready to leave. As I was rolling through the neighborhood I spotted this humming bird drinking from this feeder. It's the first time I shot a humming bird. Boy are they quick. He was gone as soon as I shot this. I am hoping to return to this feeder and watch for more hummers. (Day 136:365 @sharkbayte)

  • February 28, 2011-Waiting for a spot at the feeder. The birds were everywhere today. Singing, eating flying and fleeing from the cats. I was able to get really close to the tree with the feeders on it and watched this Downy Woodpecker for the longest time. I took way too many pictures of her, and had a hard time choosing which one to use. I liked this one because of the light and there weren't any branches in the way. (Day 59 #365Project @sharkbayte)

  • February 17, 2011-Fly away. Sure by the time I got to the tree, focused on the bird, took the shot... (Thinking I could get a few more in), she was gone and the processing of the raw file was too slow. Day 48 #365Project @sharkbayte
  • February 9, 2011-In between feeders. This guy was going from feeder to feeder. Seems like he wanted to stop and pose for me. I wanted to stay out longer but I got too chilled. They are saying it will get colder for us and possibly have snow tonight. Day 40 #365Project @sharkbayte
